New management is terrible!

I have to agree with the last poster.
I have only lived at the vintage for a year, but things have changed rapidly.
I really loved this apartment for when I moved in.
It was a little expensive, but it was quiet and well kept.
Since they changed management a few months ago, however, things have been different.
To be specific here are a few examples...
1.
The day after the management switch I got a nasty note on my door stating that if I didn't remove "unapproved items" from my patio, I could be evicted within 24 hours.
The unapproved item mentioned was a papasan chair I had out there so I could study in relative peace.
It was not dirty, it was not broken, it just wasn't "patio furniture," whatever that means.
2.
My A/C went out and after waiting for a good portion of the day the guy finally shows up.
He spends an hour running back and forth between the units and claims it's fixed.
It isn't.
I complain again and this time he says it's a part that he doesn't have.
Finally, about a week later, the thing gets fixed.
This is San Antonio, folks.
My apartment averaged 87 degrees with all the windows open and fans on.
3.
Finally, I just moved out and got a bill for "phantom charges" like the previous poster mentioned.
My deposit was only $300 because I signed on with a special, but suddenly I owe them another $50.
This included almost $100 cleaning fee after my roommate and I spent a solid day going over the place with a fine tooth comb.
Anyway...
at the end of my rant I'll just say this: The apartments are nice, but they should be for what you pay.
However, dealing with the new management has been probably the most unpleasant experience I've had since I moved to San Antonio.
Save yourself the trouble and stay away!
