I lived at Wall Street apartment for FIVE years... I'm an idiot!!! Don't MOVE HERE!!
Wny'
1) My air condition was broken for a WEEK in the MIDDLE of the summer before they finally fixed it... They couldn't have cared less...
2) I kept getting sicker and sicker and having headaches and sinus infections.. finally one day the sunlight reflected into one of the airconditioning vents and it was CAKED in black mold!!!! This black soot kept settling on everything - I can't BELIEVE I never thought to look in the air conditioning vents to see where it was coming from.. all the apts. I saw there had black mold growing in the air vents.. awful..
3) There was an old couple that lived across from me and they took HORRBILE advantage of them raising their rent WAY too high because they knew it would be really hard for them to move.. I was shocked at how much they kept raising it.. The staff taking advantage of them made me sick to my stomach..
4) There is a scarey low income apartment complex right behind this one and the tenants jump the fence and robbed at least six apartments (that I knew of) the last year I was there (not to mention all the break-in's to everyone's cars all the time).
5) Apparently all of the standup showers 'leak' due to cheap construction and when they came to 'fix' mine - they left it unusable with the shower doors laying against the wall for FOUR MONTHS!!!!
5) When the convicted child molester moved in.. (there is an elementary school across the street), I finally moved.
After FIVE years I was SHOCKED at how rude the Office Manager was to me!!! - REFUSED to give me all of my deposit back and the place was in GREAT shape - esp. considering I was there for five years... One of the rudest people I have EVER met!! Horribly horribly snotty and rude... I finally just refused to leave the managment office till they admitted that I didn't owe it.. - took almost an hour..
The first few years it was nice then management changed and it got worse and worse and worse.. there isn't enough parking - esp. in the back of the complex.. and they would let tow trucks 'go shopping' to tow away your cars at night... even though it's PRIVATE PROPERTY... they keep painting more of the curbs 'red' even though they aren't marked by the fire marshall.. and when you complain.. they treat you horrible!!! They are SOOOO rude!!! Only Alicia was nice.. and I think she finally left... :( :( :(
Nightmare experience - PLEASE don't move here!!! :(
BTW - After I moved my headaches and sinus infection problems went away completely!!!! :) If only I had moved sooner.. :(

Here's what I think caused the mold: I was a resident back in 1998 when we had all that rain and flooding. There were leaks all over the place. My apartment normally never leaked during rain, but it leaked during that storm. The water came in around the bedroom windows that faced the wind (even though they were tightly closed) and the carpet was soaked halfway to the opposite wall. When I reported this to the management, I found out this was happening to a lot of apartments. They made a lot of promises about cleaning up the mess, replacing carpet and fixing the leaks but never delivered. I lived in the same apartment more than two years after that and they never did a thing about all the damage that I ever saw. They certainly never fixed my leaks or replaced the carpet. They acted like the whole thing never happened. I suspect mold has been growing in the walls ever since.
