Why so many complaints'

I've lived here 6 months now, and just happened to stumble across this site. My first question is for the people making bad complaints: You have a 30 day guarantee here so why didn't you people use this instead of staying on somewhere that you did not like' I would think that after a month of living somewhere you would know whether you like the place or not. There are not a lot of complexes that will give you a 30 day guarantee and let you out of your lease if you are not satisfied.

Second, being that this is an older community, of course there are going to be maintenance problems. However, I moved here from a high priced brand new apartment complex and let me tell you, the older built apartments such as The Waters are much more sturdy and prevent noise 100% better than the new overpriced apartments. I could hear my neighbor sneeze in these so called "high class" apartments. At The Waters, the insulation is great and the walls are much more sturdy. Next, look at the price. The rent for The Waters is awesome considering all the ammenities you get. You have direct access to a beautiful lake with a jogging trail, a fitness center, three pools, and a clubhouse...all this for under $1000 a month. The staff have been nothing but friendly and the majority of the people that live in The Waters seem to be friendly as well.

That being said, there are a few problems that do need to be taken care of to make this place a bit better place to live. The lake yes, is wonderful but keeping non residents out of there should be enforced more. There are a lot of evenings where the lake is nice and quiet, but then there are times when non residents come around and loiter. Extra measures should be taken to ensure that the residents can enjoy the lake more and feel safe. Also, there should definitely be more lighting outside at night. This would help tremendously.

Second, this complex is in serious need of a paint job..especially on the front building. Management also needs to enforce more rules about the junk that a few residents let pile up on their deck. Both of these things are an eye sore, but especially the junked up decks. The place would have such a better appeal if these few things were taken care of.

Other than that, this really is not a bad place to live. If it were a brand new complex, people would be paying double just to have the lake view but would also be getting a much more cheaply made apartment. For the price, the good work that maintenance does, and the helpful staff..this place is worth it. Just a few extra steps though would make this complex a bit more enjoyable for all!
