I lived at this complex for six months and would never consider renewing my lease.
The staff is rude and when you have a question or complaint or a request for a repair, they act like you are imposing. Once the lease is signed, you're not really welcome in the office. If you insist on moving here and signing a lease, be very careful about what you sign. Get everything in writing and make sure you get copies. I got copies of policies that were in effect years back and had changed. Don't let them hurry you in the lease preparation -- double talk is the standard -- be on your guard.
Check out your actual move-in apartment before signing. They show you a "model" -- but the actual apartments are OLD and the appliances are even older. My oven burned everything at 500 degrees even when it was set at 250. Buildings 19 and 20 are sinking into the lake. Nothing is level. Building 20 has a major problem with water (or whatever it is....) around the outside of the building, mold, bugs and lizards. And BIRDS. This apartment should be named Swallow Hollow. Very dirty and unhealthy.
The maintenance people try to keep up with requests, but you usually have to make numerous requests. And if you ask for a working appliance, you get another non-working one from another apartment.
The "lake" view is $25 extra a month -- NOT worth it. And the water bills are way too high. The buildings are not insulated and my electric bill was huge during the summer and I still could not get the inside temp below 80 during the hottest days. If your sliding door faces the West, you are in for a suana room all summer instead of a comfortable apartment.
This apartment complex looks nice from the street, but I would suggest you look elsewhere.
