The management at the compex are very lazy and slow to get things acomplished. There has been an increasing number of automobile break since new management (approx may 03) When confronted, management said they are not responsible. They showed no consideration or empathy. The interior of the apartments are designed beautifully, although they malfunction quickly (ie leaky pipes, poor ac/heat, refridge. not running). Every other day, it seems as if they are "working on the pipes", which is an inconvience, especially for people with small children to have the water turned off for hours, especially with no prior warnings.
The exterior of the complex are "all right", except for those not directly facing traffic. The apts located in the rear of the complex are dilapitated and falling apart rapidly. The grounds are trashy. The apartments in the front of the complex are always being painted, new doors added, just to give the impression the neighborhood is being improved, but work is never done to the rear apartments. The laundry rooms remain filthy. One of the neighborhood's positive points would be the 3 nice sized pools. The maintance workers tend to be friendly. Being fact that you are unable lock the top lock of the apartment from the outside, maintance workers are able to use the key to unlock the bottom lock and enter your apartment, which is often done with out any notice/permission. There have been instances where I have been home, only to awaken to workers entering my home (b/c my top lock wasnt locked).
Overall, I wouldnt recommend this neighborhood to anybody. Although the price range isnt horrible, you definatly DO NOT get your money's worth at Westood.

I am shocked by these comments, as we have lived at Westwood Plaza for several years and wouldn't live anywhere else. Management is responsive to every call that we have ever made and the property is absolutely beautiful. This is clearly a bogus report made by someone with an axe to grind against the management- maybe they didn't pay their rent and got evicted!
