Funny you should mention living in the same building I did when the fire happened. I was in my apartment sound asleep when a stranger SAVED MY LIFE! I recall everyone from that building was brought into the office at 3 am by the manager who made other apartments available so that all of us would not be left HOMELESS in the middle of the night. I also recall some of us got larger apartments at the same rental rate we were paying before the fire. I also recall how the management contacted the Red Cross, they even had donations from the people at Westwood, them-selves, and from all over San Antonio that was shared with all of the people from that burned building. I for one owe my life to an unknown hero from Westwood, and how you can bad-mouth them is beyond me. I have had the pleasure of seeing all of the changes at Westwood in the past 4 years, even going into apartments where they were being worked on and I have never seen their workers drinking beer or hearing loud music from their work place. I have been in the office when someone wanted to scream at and curse the management, and I for one do not blame management when they tell that person to please leave, who wants to be treated like that' I find it hard to belive that they would allow someone to live in the conditions you claim to have lived in, I know better than that. I have had nothing but good service every time I request something be repaired in my apartment, as have several other neighbors to whom I have spoken to. I wonder why you didn't. I can only guess as to that answer. Oh, and by the way, last time I checked New Year's Day is a hoilday so why would the office be open' They do have a drop box, I use it quite often myself.
