I have lived here over a year, having just resigned another years lease because I couldn't bear the thought of uprooting my family again. BIG MISTAKE!!! We live in the back of the complex so that means when drunks can't find parking close to their apartments after their long nights of binge drinking they park outside our apartment. They blare their radios at 3am with full bass. No one has any courtesy except my immediate neighbors. People park in two parking spaces so parking to your own building is limited. Radios are constantly blaring past quiet time in peoples apartments or outside. The parking lot in the back of the apartment complex where we live seems to be party central.
The "better deal" advertised in the letter they sent to entice us to renew our lease was a scam. Yeah it was a better deal...FOR THEM. They raised our rent above the ridiculously high rent we pay already. We pay this higher rent it seems for extra noise, no parking, a broken security gate, no help from office staff to address our complaints, and several months of waiting for work orders to be completed. There are always police in our complex however they never catch weirdos driving around the complex in circles blaring their horns because their friends asked them to leave. There is supposedly a courtesy officer, however, I haven't seen him in the year and several months I have been here. When I called the office to inform them about noise at night they ask if I called the courtesy officer. I say I don't have a number for them and ask them for it but they don't give it to me. Plus.. I thought the idea of having an answering service was so that when the office was closed emergency issues could be resolved. How is that possible when the answering service doesnt answer''' There is also firetrucks here like twice a month. Let us not forget the water rates. How is it that I pay more for water in a two bedroom apartment with two adults and two children than a family of four adults in a five bedroom house with 3 bathrooms.

| I would love to talk to you directly and discuss this issue in more detail. Please feel free to come by the office. With more detailed information, I can forward information to our courtesy officer. As for the water billing, we have a full explanation of our water allocation which complies with the rules adopted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. We would be happy to provide you with pertinent information should you like a copy. We would love the chance to sit down and talk about this, please call or stop by our office and allow us the opportunity to resolve this. Thank you. | |

I must live in the same part of the complex that you do. Somebody did ram the security gate with their car about 6 months ago, knocking it completely down. I really don't think they plan on fixing it. The wooden fence that separates our ghetto complex from the even more ghetto complex next door keeps ketting knocked down. I am located near the pool, so I am woken up late at night when people are partying in the pool area. I wake up and see beer bottles everywhere. There ARE firetrucks here often....for some reason? And my water bill is freakin' ridiculous!!!!! So I agree with everything you have to say. I'm very sorry that you are stuck for one more year...my husband and I are leaving in just 2 months when our lease finally expires and I CAN'T WAIT!

I live at this complex also, I've been here about a year already. I was so excited when I first moved in that I thought this would work out great, it 's close to work, seems like a nice area. Now there has been a carjacking ON THE COMPLEX!!! The guy would not give his keys so he was stabbed. I live near the front of the complex by the leasing office and I think in the whole year I've lived there the gates have worked ONCE!!! I mentioned it to the office several times, especially after this incident and they shrugged it off saying the gates would not have stopped the offense. I think thats BS!! Less than a week later there was an altercation between 3 roommates, they were drunk and one got stabbed and died. Three days later there was a firetruck on the property and a hazmad crew. I really do not feel very safe at my apartment now. I just would like to warn anyone that is looking at these apartments, that when I first saw it I thought they looked very nice and peaceful and a place to call my home. Now I feel I made a big mistake. Sorry guy that you will be there another year, my lease is up in 3 months!! Caint Wait either!!

actually I am a girl and it only gets worse...tonight a woman was severely beaten by a man in the complex and police baracaded us in our section and would not let us leave. They also said that we were in danger because the suspect may have had a gun. What a grrrrrrreat place to live. I will try to get out of my lease, but I fear that I will be denied. Where was the carjacking victim stabbed?? Was it by the dumpster around where the 23 bldg is???? I fear taking my children out or going outside myself after dark. And where is this courtesy officer that we supposedly have??? People are being viciously attacked and there is no security. Not to mention the drunks that speed through here at night at least three people have been almost run down in the parking lot here. I can't take this anymore. ANYONE IN FAVOR OF A PETITION??? If so I have an email...please send me your experiences with this complex... we_wont_be_statistics@hotmail.com I AM TIRED OF ALL OF THIS! Especially when my rent is over 715 month and im payin 50 a month for water. Please email.
