First of all, we dont write comments on these websites but we have experienced a HORRIBLE living enviornment and we dont wish it upon anyone else. Currently I have several residents that all agree with what I am about to say and we are turning this complex into BBB. We have lived her for over a year now. My first year we really didnt have too much MAJOR problems occur. However, the mistake happened when we made the decision to renew our lease. First of all they have changed management and unfortunately it went downhill from there. We have had several maintance problems happen and it took almost a month for them to fix it. When we asked the office personel to advise us of the status they made us believe they were on top of things. They acted real professional and polite. The key word in that statement was "ACTED." They are down right LIARS and decievers and its sad they do it to their loyal residents. They lied to our face and over the phone about the reason things werent progressing on our work order. The maintance guy told us that he was present when they lied to us over the phone and they wanted him to lie to us also. They are too worried about the MOVE-INS rather than their current residents. Next,I can literally count on one hand the amount of times I had to use the gate card to get in since I have moved here in 2005. In result, in the past 2 months, we have had a murder, a carjacking/stabbing and multiple car break-ins. If you call news 4 WOAI you can get a copy of the news clip the troubleshooters did on our complex. Since the beginning of the year we have had 63 911 calls from our complex alone. ---- and the other leasing agents persisted and stressed the gates would be fixed after these incidents. LIES again!!!! They still havent worked and its been well over a month. Its sad that it takes Murders and stabbing to care about the safety of the residents. Oh wait they didnt even fix them after those unfortunate incidents. About a week ago, two residents cars got smashed into by a car that was exiting the apartments at a high rate of speed. One car got there entire back in taken off and the other was severly smashed in. The car fled the scene. If the gates worked the driver would of known that they had to stop before exiting. But thats not the case. Lastly, Parking is a nightmare. If you come home after 8 o clock at night you will be lucky to get a parking spot on the opposite side of the complex. No joke. We hardly ever get to park near our apartment. And let me tell you, it doesnt feel good to have to walk across the entire complex at night knowing that criminals and other unwanted guests are being allowed to come in and out of our complex as they please. Hence the reason we have had as high of a crime rate that we do. Yes it could happen anywhere, but if our gates have worked it could have prevented some of these occurances. Parking permits are also a joke. They are useless with out visitor parking. There isnt designated vistor parking therefore they park in our spots regardless of the stickers. The management stated they will not tow unless the cars have been there for more than 2 days. Come on, I live here and I dont stay parked for 2 days. I do not recommend these apartments to my worse enemy. If you want to live in a safe and comfortable enviorment then go else where.

Our community has been hit with some hard situations concerning unauthorized activity. I can assure you that the incidents that happen were dealt with accordingly and were isolated incidents. Living in apartment community at different points and times may bring challenges on maintaining order. We do encourage our residents to call our office, our courtsey officer or SAPD to report any violations. We make every effort to deal with any concerns our residents may have. We do strive to make this community a place you will be proud to call home. I encourage you to meet with should you have specific concerns you'd like to discuss. I am also a resident who made a mistake signing another lease here, since then I have witnessed the same things as you and also more, a few weeks ago someone in my building went psycho and beat his girlfriend bloody , there was a police helicopter, and at least 5 police cars and 2 CSI. The police scared me when they told me the man had a gun, and they wouldnt let any of us in or out of the area. They NEVER arrested the man...they left him in his apartment. What if he did have a gun? What else do we have to put up with here as residents? Tagging, domestic violence that spills over, carjacking/stabbing, murder, crazy people speeding through the complex, car break ins, congregations of drunk disorderly people in the parking lots, loud noise...what else is there? I have started collecting peoples input on the apartments, please email me and tell anyone else who wants to tell their story to email me @ we_wont_be_statistics@hotmail.com. I am going to approach the management company with all the information I can to try to get something done! I am tired of being scared! Please help me try to make a difference. Thank you.

I will admit the gates have never worked since I lived here, but I'm no felon, and my personal security is S&W, but I and my room mates have not had a break in. now if we have a female friend visiting alone after dark I will go out and escort them from and to their' vehicle, but I have never felt unsafe here. If I do feel unsafe, I'll get another gun. Even though I have noticed evidence on many doors that they have been pried open or from attempted break ins even my own door, I'm also very surprised i don't see stainless panels on these doors, but I'm not worried,
