I've lived a Colonial Village for a while now and plan to stay a lot longer. I've just spent all weekend helping a friend find an apartment in the area and looking at all the high end complexes, and it just made me realize that I really like my apartment. The complex may not be flashy but the grounds are clean and really well maintained. The apartment layouts are spacious and livable. The big windows are a definite plus, not dark and dingy. The complex feels wonderfully safe and I've never had trouble parking, although you can't always guarantee a prime spot when you get in at 3am on a weekend :)
Maintenance are quick and responsive when your requests are reasonable, although I'm sure they get bugged to do all sorts of things that lazy folk could deal with themselves
I haven't had much contact with the other staff since I moved in but they were very helpful, especially since my case wasn't particularly straight forward (I moved from Australia).
Anyhow, I just want to thank the management for making Colonial Village what it is, especially the maintenance guys. It may seem like thankless work, but I for one am grateful. (Prompted by the fact that I nearly ran over two of them this morning as they were picking up trash that other people had left all over the driveways!)
