To those writing reviews after only a short stay at these apartments, you have only scratched the surface of living there. After the "honeymoon" stage wears off, you become just another check to these people.
When I first moved in, I couldn't believe how helpful the staff was, how clean and put together the apartment was and how quick the maintenance came when something was wrong.
Fast forward 3 years, and here's what you get: A complete waste of money.
To begin with, the whole apartment is falling apart. Drawers are off their tracks, the toilet doesn't flush, the bathtub leaks, the sinks leak, the spray-painted shiny surface of pretty much everything in the bathroom has soaked in every stain and every ounce of dirt, a water-stained wall and ceilings, shabby carpet that was laid so horribly that the nails are sticking up, a dishwasher that literally falls out of the space in the counter, a garbage disposal that doesn't work and a host of other tragedies. Worst of all' The air conditioning doesn't work well, and maintenance tells me that there's nothing they can do. I have $250 electric bills for a one bedroom 80 degree apartment. That cannot be right.
In addition, they leave important documents attached to your door, so if someone takes them, you're S.O.L. I was scammed into renewing my lease for a year by them telling me they attached the lease to my front door and after a month of me not realizing it was up because I never got it, they informed me that if I didn't sign, I'd have to pay a $780 fee for a 30 day grace fee. On top of this all, they raise the rent roughly $20 a month each year - and may or may not inform you of this.
The only good thing (for me) is that they are lenient with their pet policies and are not too militant if your rent is a tad bit late. Of course, this means that there are huge dogs crapping on the barely grassy area in front of my apartment.
Two other things worth mentioning:
1. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything your neighbors are watching or listening to.
2. The parking situation is ridiculous in my section. There are, easily less than 10 visitor spots for parking and the covered parking is usually full of cars without permits, but nothing seems to be done about it.
So, would I recommend it to someone' I used to, but no chance now.
