Autumn Chase was my first apartment out of the dormrooms. I lived there from June 2005-May 2006. What got me was the layout and the size of the apartment. I liked that, but everything else sucked. Everyone on here is right: The appliances are old and didn't work right. My dishwasher was broken pretty much the whole time I lived there. And I ended up going to the laundromat down the street or to my boyfriend's apt in Austin to wash clothes 90% of the time because the washers were so damn small. And the airconditioning sucked in the summer, but I saved a bunch of money in December by not turning on my heater. My boyfriend couldn't sleep over there because the apartment was always so hot. Also, my next door neighbors were really noisy. And the manager hardly ever talks to the residents, she uses her staff as her puppets.
Oh, and in March 2006, a water heater in a vacant apartment busted and flooded my downstairs. There was literally a pool in my kitchen. I reported it to the office and they got the carpet guy out there. He ripped up my carpet and the padding from under it and put the dryer on the living room side of my apartment. I went on a trip for spring break, expecting my apartment to be back to normal when i got back, but no, the carpet dryer was still in the exact same spot as it was when i left. I ended up having to live at my bfs apartment for the last week and a half of March because the smell from the wet carpet was unbareable. And they never replaced the padding. They finally got everything back to normal the last week of March. The only upside is that they gave me $75.00 off rent that next month.
The second thing is that they screwed me over when I moved out. I never got a letter saying whether or not I owed anything aside from my deposit. Then at the end of June, I get a call from a collection agent saying that I owed money to HIM for not paying Autumn Chase. I called the apartment complex and they said that there was a mixup with their corporate office and the letters for leases ending that month never got mailed. After two weeks of persistence, and mentioning calling a lawyer, and reporting them to the TAA, I finally got them to contact the collection agency and erase their error and allow me to pay them directly for damages.
Long story short, don't live here.

Me and my fiance just moved in 5 days ago. This is our first place so were really excited. The day before out move in date we wanted to get the keys earlier so we could just start moving stuff in the next morning. Well the lady tells that the carpet guys arn't done yet and to call her back in 45 mins to see if they were done. Me and my fiance ourselves passed by the apartment and there was no one there, no van, the guys who were suppose to be doing it was all talking around their truck. Well anyways we call back about an hour later and nope, their not done. So we had to wait till they opened at 9 to go pick up the keys. The staff sucks! They dont know what the hell their doing most of the time. But i like the apartment, the little things dont bother me like the washer and dryer, and the noise. The only thing we've had problems with was our kitchen light is leaking water and leaves a big puddle on the kitchen floor. Its only done that once. Lttle things in the apartment werent cleaned, and the bugs in there are pretty bad. Other then that i would say this place is less then okay.
