Reasons I m not renewing my lease:
-You are likely to get the stink eye from most of the people in your apartment complex
-The apartment staff does their job very poorly. The lease explicitly prohibits barbecues as well as placement of objects in the courtyard and the use of narcotics. Why does it seem like everyone is grilling in front of their apartments while smoking pot' And why doesn t the apartment staff do anything about it when we call it in' In short, they have less authority to enforce the rules than you will be made to believe. This will not, however, stop them from making promises.
-Getting appliances fixed/installed is like bringing rain to the Kalahari. It all amounts to the apartment staff cheerily telling you We ll get right on that! before they throw your work order in the garbage. One thing I can say is that I ate 21 meals of nuked Beanie Weenies before they brought in a stove with busted elements. Thanks Autumn Chase!
-Noisy neighbors and a worthless apartment staff are an irritating combination. I get up at 6:24 AM to make it to work on time, so when I hear people laughing, shouting, and cavorting right outside my bedroom window until 2 AM I tend to find ways to solve the problem. Talk to the neighbors' Try getting a door slammed in your face. Call the apartment office' They ll issue a noise citation. I m not sure what that is, but I can tell you it didn t do $hit to stop any noise production.
Neighbors can make or break your experience just like coworkers can ruin your job. I m not moving because I don t like having 2 floors, a balcony, easy access to I-35, and ample parking. I m moving because my neighbors are disrespectful, the Autumn Chase apartment staff can t do anything about it, and I m tired of being lied to over the phone.
