Wouldn't live here

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I lived here for two years since the property was built. We would have moved out earlier but it was such a pain to move that we just stayed.
We loved our apartment, but if you have a garage expect random drunk people to walk into your garage (or house if for some reason you don't obsessively lock your doors) at any given moment. Our neighbors were extremely noisy. Every night there are people screaming at their dogs, alarms going off (more so than usual), and parties until 5 am.
When we first moved in our water was not hooked up properly. When we put in a maintenance report we were ignored for three weeks. When we finally actually got to speak to a manager she rudely told us that if we had a problem with our apartment, we should just break our lease and leave. (We didn't want to leave, we just wanted running water).
Parking is a nightmare. There is never parking at night and people are always parked in your spot. Every few weeks three or four tow trucks come and tow everyone (even people who shouldn't be towed, like the residents).
The staff is nice, but unhelpful. One girl in the office always did everything she could to help (not the crazy one who keeps writing mean responses to other unhappy residents), but other than that you are pretty much ignored, just as your problems will be.
The apartments toward the back of the property are also infested with scorpions, and when they sting you (because they will if you live here) it hurts like a -----. Also, there is no pesticide that will kill them, so no matter how many times they exterminate, you will still have a problem. We saw one or two at least once a week. This is was a major problem for us.
Once you decide not to renew your lease the staff is even more unhelpful than before, and may ask you to move out early because they have someone else moving in after you. (Really' Is that how apartments work' Let me rearrange my life because some 19 year old wants to move out of his parents' house a week early).
On a good note, the actual apartments were nice and besides the water problem there were no major maintenance problems. The maintenace guys are super nice and know what they're doing, and are the only professionals you will deal with while you live here.
