Four years ago, I had the opportunity to lease an apartment at Bobcat Village. What started out as a pleasant and altogether new experience for me quickly turned sour. Management was weeded out and replaced halfway through my lease, and behind all the smiles and greetings, there was a bolder sense of "I can't help you." I won't go into detail about all the misfortunes that took place during my stay; but I will tell you that they'll take every opportunity to bill you for something that is not explained in the contract when you sign it. I received an "itemized bill" for over $400 after moving out, and this was never broken down into a coherent list of charges. I may as well have just said here, you can HAVE half my paycheck. In hindsight, it is my regret that I didn't take more time to search for a better fit. No place is going to be perfect, but BV could stand for some serious improvements, based on the experiences that have been related to me. As students pursuing an academic goal, we should not be treated as cash cows or idiots to be manipulated and hoodwinked out of our own hard-earned (and also our parents' in some cases)money. So long, student housing. My money is better spent somewhere else!
