The Cedars of San Marcos was my very first apartment. Being young and naive, I wasn't aware of how much they took advantage of me. We were great residents; we always paid our bills on time and no one ever had a problem with us. We realized a year later, after actually looking around at other places, that we could get something cheaper and with more amenities. Upon moving out, the management said that our apartment looked great and that we would receive our full deposit, no questions asked. However, 2 months rolled around, and no deposit. We called 3 times to inquire, and no one ever answered. We then showed up (after moving into our new place) and realized that they had completely new management. In fact, the management had changed 3 times in the 9 months that we lived there. So, the new management decided that we wouldn't get our deposit back. What'' Like, this was crazy. We had our lease and everything, and showed them that we both paid $99. Then this new manager (major b-word) proceeded to start yelling at us, telling us that we were wrong about our deposit, and that we should just leave. I was in complete shock-we were great tenants, and now these people were treating us like crap. She literally finger pointed at us and yelled. She kept cutting off what we were trying to say. We told her we called 3 times, no one had ever called us back, then said it was our fault b/c she never received the messages. This place is awful. At first, it appears great, but if you ever have a problem with anything, the management is awful and treats you like dirt. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. If no one wants to work there, there must be a reason why.
