Very good rent despite not so good neighborhood. The rent is only $500 for 2 bedroom/1 bath. The bedrooms are pretty big, the kitchen is HUGE, living room is average, and so is the bathroom. However, the neighborhood is kind of bad and ghetto. I haven't encountered any problems with anybody. However, my roomate has had his CD player stolen out of his car at night. (Don't leave your doors unlocked at night here). The neighbors are nice and friendly, mostly families. I like this place A LOT better than the Shalamar Apartments, which was more expensive and a lot less smaller. The landlord is pretty easy-going, but he works at another job and is hard to get a hold of. There is no gym or swimming pool, which sucks. Pets are allowed at a $100 deposit, and the landlord even let us slide a couple of months before paying that. 3 out of the 4 dryers are broken at the laundry room. Good water heater--rarely runs out of hot water. Some appliances are new, some from the 70s. Maintenance is pretty slow, unless it is a major emergency. Privacy is maintained pretty well.
