If you don't mind a lot of maintenance

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
I lived in a first floor apt in building 2 at Comanche Hill from January-May because residence life wouldn't let me completely off-campus, so this was my first apartment.
THE BAD:
-the disgusting 1970s splotchy brown carpet and inside the cabinets
-my wireless would rarely work, but I don't know if that was just my cheap router
-no ceiling fans
-poor lighting throughout
-the circuits in my kitchen would blow everytime I tried to use my toaster
-I could hear every step my upstairs neighbors took (bad ceiling insulation)
-everyone starts the weekend on Thursday, sometimes Wednesday nights, making it impossible to sleep
-NEVER had a shower with a consistent temperature, always going from freezing to burning
-my a/c froze and flooded my closet...in turn molding everything that was on the floor
-my last week there, this brown foreign substance bubbled up from my shower tub and hardened so I couldn't take a shower for 2 days
-rent was $537 for my 1/1...a little high for what I got
-it seemed like I was always calling maintenance to fix something
THE GOOD:
-the size of my 1/1 because every room was HUGE!
-comes with a fridge, microwave, and stove...all fairly new and clean
-could never hear my next door neighbors (good wall to wall insulation)
-office staff is young, nice, courteous, and very willing to help you out
-maintenance is nice (except one guy) and always fixes things on time
-the few bugs are dead bugs (probably due to the monthly spraying of every apt)
-water, internet, and cable are included in rent (maybe some more things)
-there's always parking
-there are a lot of washers and dryers so there's usually always one open
All in all, this place wasn't that bad. So if you're forced to live in a university apt like I was, or don't care about the money, then I recommend this place, but if not, I suggest trying to find a cheaper place.
**Also note that everything is only for MY apartment and that I've never been in another apartment in this complex or talked to anyone else that has lived here.
