This is the worst place I have lived here in San Marcos!!! From the incredibly rude brunette girl who works in the office, to the $60 a month water bills, to the water being turned off at least once a month, to the maintenance guy who thinks he's some big shot who can tell you what to do. Everything about this place stinks. Any time I have had a simple question and have gone into the office to ask the question, I always have to talk to this one girl who is seriously the rudest person I have ever met. I go in there totally polite and she immediately starts giving me attitude. I'm not paying $800 a month to live here so some girl, the same age as me, can talk to me like I m a child. The water bill has been at least $60 a month for the last six months, due to all of the leaks this crap hole has. On top of all of that, there has been no reimbursement, sympathy, or even an apology for it. All that the rude office girl can say is, "San Marcos water is expensive". I'm not stupid, my parents live in a huge house with a pool they have to fill and their water bill isn t even that much. Today they turned off the water and didn't even give us any warning. I had to call the office and ask if the water was turned off. One of the maintenance guys is really nice but the other one is totally rude and thinks he owns the pool. He had the nerve to come up to me, tap me on my shoulder, and tell me I couldn't do what I was doing (in a totally rude manner). He came into our apartment to fix two leaks we've had and never finished either job and still hasn't come out to finish them even though I told office. I've lived here for two years now. The first year was smooth sailings and I loved it but this last year has been crazy. I'm definitely not renewing my lease here!!! I'm also spreading the word to everyone I talk to about how terrible this place is. I informed our friend at Great Locations as well and he said he s been hearing a lot of bad things about Hillside lately, which doesn t surprise me on bit. So beware DON'T LIVE HERE!!!

Spoken like a true poet. I'm too lazy to write a huge explanation, so I'll just leach off this person. They got it right on the nose. My first year was awesome, now I can't wait to get out. The only thing they left out was how dispicable their towing is. They completely allow their own tenants to be towed with no apology over the cheap-as-hell permits they issue
