After a year spent in a really shady part of San Marcos, I was looking for a safer place to call home. I moved to Mosscliff in the summer of 2005 based on the low price, ($615 for a 2/2 with a study, at the time), spacious floor plan, and pleasant, well-maintained facilities. Where the general trend in apartment complexes in San Marcos seems to be 'pay more, get less', Mosscliff stands out with its good service and fair price. I don't feel like I am being cheated, living here. All of the staff (maintenance and management) are helpful and competent and on the whole the residents are friendly and quiet. You can sometimes hear your neighbors, but I've never been bothered by it. I liked it so much here in the first year that I decided to renew for a 3/2 with a study. I was pleased to notice that Mosscliff was still the best deal in town when I was apartment searching in the summer of 2006. Now, after another year here I am happy to say that I will be moving into a 2/2 in June with my new wife. I plan to stay at this complex for as long as I live in San Marcos.
