How quickly they turn on you...

The Managament and staff at the Outpost were so polite throughout the year that I did overlook the ants and the parking situation. They already had VERY LIMITED visitor parking when I moved in, and then when the towing company said they were not getting enough "business," they took away even more of the spots (thats what I heard). Then, after the deadline to renew your lease, the tenants that did not renew were overlooked and were treated awful by the staff. After moving out, they do find anything to fine you for, even if they had already told you to your face that you were fine to checkout. The management was unwilling to offer information about who THEIR boss was and I left that complex with a bitter taste in my mouth. If you do sign there, please make sure you get your side in writing and take pictures when you leave. The random fees they try to stick you with are ridiculous and new management is needed. Good luck to all who are stuck there for another year!

This really is aweful the fleecing "management" is doing to their former tennants. I would really like to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience. There is strength in numbers.
I'm the Mom of a kid who lived in the Outpost Apartments for 4 months. I just got a bill in the mail for $725 for move out fees. According to the management (and I do use the term loosely), they are charging him for cleaning and repainting the place after he spent TWO days doing just that. Even made a trip to New Braunfels Sherwin Williams so he could get the kind of paint the management required! They are also charging him for replacement of the carpet in his room, replacement of things like outlet covers, a dining room chair, replacement of a bi-fold door, a/c door slats, towel bar and full cleaning of his bed???? AGAIN, AFTER HE AND HIS GIRLFRIEND SPENT TWO DAYS CLEANING AND PAINTING THE ONE ROOM IN THE PLACE HE OCCUPIED. He has also stated that these things he is being charged to replace were trashed when he moved in and filled out the "Management's" form stating so.
I will be getting an attorney to fight this. I would rather give the money to a a lawyer than this so called thieving "management." I think I will also call the better business bureau and post this on any and all apartment rating forums I can find. Anyone know where I can find the name of the owners of the apartment complex property? They might like to know what a wonderful job management is doing in fleecing and steeling from these kids. This is just unbelievable!!!
