When I first moved into this complex, I was impressed. What sold me on it was the management. I could have paid a little bit more to live a block from campus, and as a student that's very important. But with a bus stop a block away in either direction, and the management running the place, I was sold.

But earlier this year, management changed hands. She's not the worst, but there is a noticeable change. And its not the residents, or the grounds, but strictly a management issue. It was a state of mind at Post Oak Villas. I felt welcome and safe there and would leave my door unlocked when I was home, but subconsciously after management changed hands I started locking my door.

The new manager is a bit shady. I don't approve of complexes retaining all or part of deposits for unreasonable charges. This one is guilty. Be ready for a fight in that department.

In the past, under the management from a year ago, I'd recommend this place. Now' Not really. It's cheap for a single compared to other places but you'd be better off finding a roommate or spending a little extra for peace of mind. The new management here lost the personal touch. And as another sign that I'm not alone in this...when I recently moved out, there were six other apartments doing the same, a few of which that were breaking their leases to get out.
