Village on the River is a nice place to live overall. I am a grad student who also works part time and would not recommend it to anyone who has to get up early and go to a real job. I could hear everything my neighbors did, including talking, music and dogs barking. Sometimes till 4 AM! Parking is not a problem. Even without a gate I felt pretty safe and never experiened any crime. Although during December we had a rash of agressive solicitors. About 30 seconds after the 3rd person in a week came by my apartment, I called management and told them about it. They said they couldn't do anything about it even though these people were probably still on the property. We did have ants a month after my husband and I moved in but they took care of it very quickly. The maintenance staff is great and speedy. If you are an ADULT who does not frequent frat parties then you may want to live somewhere else. I haven't even lived here a year and am moving this summer. It's a great student apartment and a good deal for the money.
