Don't live here, it was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. When we moved in it was Villages on the River and a few months later the complex was bought by a management company and renamed Riverside Ranch, and this is when the problems began. Here is my list of complaints:
-$70 a month (at least) for water, despite the fact that they were constantly turning it off for "repairs"
-Management is ignorant
-Office staff is rude
-They NEVER fix anything, but they always want to come into your apartment-they came into our apt over 15 time in 2 years without warning most of the time
-When we moved out they charged us $110.00 for ozone treatment and $235 for carpet replacement despite the fact that we lived there for 2 years and they told us before we moved out not to worry about the carpet becuase we had been there so long everything would be normal wear and tear, but yet on the statement they claimed they had to replace carpet in the entire unit

-They lied about how much we paid in deposits and are now claiming that we did not pay as much as we did
-Constant noise and parties, which management never did anything about despite numerous complaints, always had to rely on the cops

If you can find anywhere else to live in San Marcos do so, do not live here you will be screwed one way or another. They prey on college students and try to scam every dollar they can out of you. They will find anyway they can to make money off of college students.

Do Pinnacle Properties even own Dakota Ranch???
From: Anonymous Date: 06/25/2009
Well when we moved in they told us they were "sister" properties. I called Dakota Ranch today and they said they are not. So once again we were lied to by RR, so to maintain the validity and reliability of my post I removed that from the review.
