Not as awesome as the staff posts that it is

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2005
This place is alright, no huge complaints, i mean its apartment living so you'll just have to suck it up no matter where you live. but here are my frustrations. also i have lived here for 4 years, so obviously nothing has been bad enough to run me out! BUt here is what I have had to put up with... toilet backs up at least 4 times a week even if you just put a sigle kleenex in. silver fish are bad in the bathroom (but by some Bengle and it will solve your problems). Everybodys screen door falls off, once our dryer caught on fire and maintaince never came...ever even after 2 phone calls! Even when we were smoked out of the apartment... good thing it didnt burn down their property, they would have never known! if you have a maintaince request just be persistant because aparently the head of maintaince and the manager have some rare metabolic disorder which makes them constantly "out on lunch". Our bathroom ceiling started leaking in Feb. and they would come look at it and watch the water fall and then leave to go get a tool and not come back for 2 weeks. I even spoke to the manager and didnt get help then finally a month later called and asked for headquarters phone number and she told me this was the first she'd heard of it, even though i had put in 4 requests through her personally. DOnt get me wrong, they were sweet as they could be and never ugly with me, just not real quick to fix the hole in our bathroom ceiling. At the end of APril they finaly cut out the ceiling to begin the repair, but then left it for 3 weeks before actually fixing it. now the ceiling is back together but the fan hasnt been put in so there is still a big square box hanging out of the ceiling and all the equipment laying on our towel rack. Oh yeah they arent good about cleaning up from there big projects either, there was drywall and paint all over the place when they were done, even after we told them to clean up there mess. The dishwashers dont work well, they leave stuff still on them. the only one who could ever fix anything was Rodney and now he's gone, so we're stuck with dirty dishes. they claim to have HBO but it only works about 1/2 of the time... it works more often than the toilet though! OH and the "work out room" they have 2 bikes in there that havent worked in 2 years, 2 treadmills and one if them is jumpy so it will trip you, and the bars for the press down machine are never in there, the cables for all the machines are mangled so its hard to use and doesnt move smoothly. They also sent a notice asking for info on who is ruining their new pool chairs and even offered a reward, sounds great right''' BUt they wouldnt need to ask who did it if the security cameras around the pool were working! Hope there isnt a murder by the pool one day. OH and parking is horable, they also have a tendancy to change "visitors" parking into residents and then your guest gets towed because they didnt notify you that they were changing it. also since i have lived here (since it backs up to the ghetto) there has been a drive by and building 8 got shot at, some girl got duct taped up by her crack head roomates druggie friends, and some guy tried to kill himself after shooting his fience and her cousin and then ran and got caught in our parking lot and bled all over the ground. So its never a dull moment!! BUT honestly all in all you put up with junk in every apartment, and i have lived her for a long time and im fine. i am however moving just from poor maintaince and staff, and mostly for a change of pace, but what really made me look else where is that rent was going up and they werent willing to give me a rent break even though i have never paid late or caused any problems.
