Where should I start. Lets begin with the move in day. They knew about three months in advance when I would move in. I set a time of 10 am and arrived on time. I came in the office to pick up my key and was told that I needed to wait for another four hours to move in so they could shampoo my carpets. Lets just say I was a little pissed off since I hired a mover that could not wait for four hours to move me in. Thats just the beginning of the bad communication in the office. Mitzi is the biggest two faced, unprofessional person I have ever met. WHen I moved in I was told that they allowed six month leases. I graduate in December and went into the office in Febuary to renew my lease which ended in July for another six months. I was then informed that beginning in November of last year they decided to stop doing six month leases and were now only signing year leases. Hello, I was never informed of this!! Now everyone that graduates in Dec. is screwed.
The inside of my apartment was in the worse condition I have ever seen an apartment before, and this comes from just moving out from a complez that was 22 years old and was in better condition. The carpet was so dirty I could not walk around in my apartment without my feet turning black from the neglect. I made a direct request to have new carpet put in the day of move in due to the dirt and holes in the carpet. It took them over 2 1/2 months of complaining and threatening to report them to TAA before they would even come and look at my carpet. Then when they decided to put new carpet in they gave us a one day notice to get our furniture and appliences out of the way for the carpet guys to install. The lack of communication form the staff to the residents SUCKS here. The maintenance takes about three weeks to fix any problems, so make sure to have a back up plan for your problem. I live on the first floor, and the ceilings are so thin I can constantly hear the people above me walking. I have even called the cops on them one time because they were shaking the light fixtures from walking so hard.
The outside of the apartments are worse. The pool is absolutely horrendous. I went to go swiming one time and it was infested with bugs. Grose!! The spa never works, I have to go down Post Road to the Outpost if I ever want to get in a spa that works. There is so much dog poop outside that you basically have to wade through it to get to your car. Dogs poop right outside my window and I can not sleep with it open on a cool night because of the smell. BUGS are definately a problem. We have had a major infestation of fire ants, not sugar ants these actually bit you, silverfish and spiders. They have pest control guys spray once a month but its only around the outside of the apartment, not the inside.
Well I guess I will get off my soap box, but I think it is important that I give out as much information as possible because I do not want you to make the same mistake and sign a year long lease to live in this **** hole.
