My son has cerebral palsy and the doctor said we could no longer live in a two story town home apt. We brought the letter in to tell them this but they didn't want to help at all, instead we were forced to break our lease and find a one story home and we are still forced to pay on top of our new rent the rent from them. I wish they were more kind hearted to help our family in need. We were alway on time with our rent and we followed the rules. For a year and half we had lived here and they will not help. So they had put us in dept. We are a family of seven now with a specially needs child that needs more money to help him in life. With this dept hanging over our head limits the funds we could of used to help my son who has cerebral palsy. My son falls a lot, he can't hardly talk right, he is 7 years old, and he needs help. Only SSI can do so much.....

This sounds like a review from the manager, staff, or maintenance. Whoever wrote this doesn't sound like an actual resident, but someone trying to defend themselves without saying "me", "my", "we", or "us". As far as the comment about college students, I myself am a college student. And while I do admit that sometimes college students aren't always the best tenants, all college students aren't like that. There are complexes around town that are well kept and clean with respectable staff and mgmt. If these apartments are run down, it is probably a combination of less-than-desirable tenants and bad mgmt/maintenance. Many of the complaints I've read on this website sound like problems with the staff and maintenance and not so much the tenants. The rude staff that keeps coming up has nothing to do with the tenants. Neither does the gate that stays open, the incompetent maintenance, or the unorganized office that can't keep track of who paid their rent. All of these are issues I read about more than once.

Umm, i think that chicken may have the wrong review because this person definitely was not holding up the apartment complex. my sympathies to the special needs family.
