I have lived here for two years now, and in the beginning of he first year, it wasnt so bad. Yes, the office staff was never on their toes and never gave you the right information, but they were so nice. This year on the other hand, the new manager, Amy, is terrible. She is heartless and so rude. She is hard-headed and doesnt even try to comprimise with residents. I thought customer service was important in keeping a GOOD business afloat, well, I guess that explains why this isnt such a good business.
It is not just Amy though, Tracy Suttles, who owns NBC holdings (they own the zone) seems to also be a little on the shady side. His company is loaded, they own shopping centers and apartment complexes all over Texas, and yet, a $200.00 deposit check given to an old resident bounced when she tried to cash it. How does a multi-million dollar company not have $200 in the bank' Sounds a little shady to me.
also, the office staff is not fair. I happen to know that a member of staff had a very large dog living in his tiny 1 bedroom apt, and yet when a resident is caught with a dog over 25 lbs. they are forced to give up their dog.
Living in an college cimmunity I expect noise from partying, but the walls are so thin here, I can actually hear full conversations between my neighbors. Its creepy, and gets a little annoying.
Another problem is the pool. The Zone's claim to fame is their "resort style" swimming pool. IT IS AWESOME! I will say that, but the pool is literally chained up and locked at 10pm. I personally think that is to early for a college complex' pool.
The bug problem is bad too. I constantly have crickets and spiders in my apartment.
I have seen some signs of impovement and more organization in the office just in the last month, but until some major changes take place, the Zone is an AWEFUL place to live. plus, the rent is to high. find something better for cheaper...i know I will when i get out of this hell-hole.

NBC is NOT a multi million dollar company - they are barely staying afloat hence the time it takes maintenance to fix something - usually because they can't buy parts since the company has no $$$'s - hence the returned depoist checks -just thought you should know

I have numerous complaints from crappy furniture to failing appliances to rude office staff. They treat everyone like a dollar sign and not a tenant. It's as if these people don't realize we have to actually live here. I've lived here for 2 years and I think there have been 5 managers. The office staff changes more frequently than the pool water and the unmaintained appliances wind up cranking your bills to ridiculous levels. It's cheap.. well was cheap so if you were to move here.. expect a headache.. but make sure you get the cheapest rent in town. I would have moved out a long time ago if it weren't' for my neighbors. The new management, lol, promises a new look and new furniture.. even though we're not allowed in the game room it sure looks better. they have new workout machines on the way.. and the staff hasn't changed yet.. so maybe it will be better for the 6th time around.. I sure hope it does get better....
