The Zone's management is pathetic. The staff is rude and deceitful. Ashley the manager is quite possibly the worst human being in to walk the streets of San Marcos. Ashley's blatant disregard for the tenants at the Zone is unexcusable. Ashley has no customer service skills and is a rude ----. The Zone does nothing to work with tenants and are concerned only with making money. The pool is disgusting, the maintenance crew is a joke and the prices are ridiculous and Ashley is a rude ----. Id strongly reccomend anybody considering to move in the Zone to stop and leave while you can. Even if you are new to San Marcos and want a single lease with roomates trust me you do not want to move to the Zone. My roomates had two cats and did not pay a pet deposit the Zone did nothing to stop this problem. My house was flooded out by negligent maintenance men over 3,000 dollars in damages and The Zone claims no wrong doing. I went home for the summer for one month and when I returned to the hell that is the Zone they had leased another tenant in my bedroom. They had managed to charge me and this other person for the same month rent of the same room. Ashley the ---- of the universe showed no regard for the situation. This fat shorthaired ---- actually said it was my fault because the apartment looked vacant. We filed a lawsuit against the Zone and won. I only wish i could file a lawsuit for being a fat rude ---- (Ashley) unfortunately its not illegal to be an unethical caniving apartment manager. The apartments have paper thin walls, thin carperts horrible craftsmanship and an incredibly rude staff. Stay away from The Zone like it is the plague. If you want to live in cheaply made student traps go to Sterling or The Exchange get a one bedroom somewhere else trust me youll wish that youd read this review if you sign a lease (a contract with -----)and are trapped at this hell on earth for an overpriced year.

The Zone isn't that bad, but what happened to you sucks. The Zone has been nothing but complimentary and have catered to my every need since moving in. As for the staff, I might could understand about the staff that worked there a year ago, but all the people the work there now are brand new and pretty cool. So I think you should just simmer down, count to 10, and I guess be happy that you found a place that you like staying at.
