If you want your car broke into, move in here!
Every other week there is car break ins, many cars are broke into in one evening.
The last series of break ins was 2 nights ago, they broke windows out of cars and completely slashed open a convertible top, personal items that they didn't want were thrown all over the parking lot.
The security gates NEVER work properly and they have given out a code if your gate card doesn't work, this code hasn't been changed in over a year, so now everyone has the code.
Parking sucks big time, if you get home after 9pm, forget about a safe walk to your apartment. You will be lucky if you can even park in the actual apartment parking lot!
They keep raising the rent, but no additional security. No added lights, no cameras, no human being patrolling the lot. Can't wait for my lease to be over and I am OUTTA HERE!

I take it your car was broken into 2 days ago? Check the statistics of all the apartments in the area and you will realize that it isn't much better anywhere else. I've said this on here before, my company places relocating employees in a very nice very expensive complex in Sugar Land (Rated the 3rd safest place to live in the US) and they say they have breakins ALL THE TIME! There security is about as good as it gets, but if someone wants to break into a car they will find a way. The gate code was changed in September 26 2007. I remember because I keep all correspondance from the complex, so it hasn't been a year just yet :-)

G.Prince is correct! No matter where you live these things happen. It is unfortunate, but it's life. It happens at the mall, the store and everywhere. I managed that community a few years ago and we always notified our Residents of such happenings even if we heard of something down the street. I have 28 years experience managing apartment communities, and in all fairness that company spends money to take care of the needs of the Residents! Not all Property Managers are that fortunate. Mid-America is a great company. They really do care about the Residents. They allowed me to hire hourly Police Officers during a time when apartments were being broken into. I might add the break ins were occurring in broad daylight. What Residents everywhere must realize is that you have to take personal responsibility to assist in protecting your investment. So many times cars are broken into to steal visible items. It's not Management's fault any more than it's your fault. I now work for a government agency and a theif came through yesterday and burglarized several vehicles in our parking lot. We have Police cars sitting all over the lot!! These guys a BOLD now days! As long as you lose property and not your life that's a blessing alone. Debbie Hayes (Previous Manager) Hello to all the Residents that know me!! You guys were a great group! I really enjoyed my time there.
