01/14/14 by anonymous: I have lived here for a little while. The people here are very sweet and have the college students backs. The manager helps when she can and has been very pleasant about everything that has been brought to her. The grounds are maintained, even with many dogs here. If anything goes wrong inside the apartment the staff do what they can to fix it ASAP. For example the first day I moved here the more

09/10/14 by anonymous: Management is absolutely rude on every occasion I have had to contact them. Maintenance is supposed to come in and change the air conditioning filters every month, that did not happen. Electric bills are high. Outside lighting is not maintained. Lease expired a month and a half ago, have yet to see the security deposit. more

04/23/14 by brblackwell: My children and I have lived here for 3 years. The apartments are absolutely wonderful. Great neighbors, great office staff and a supportive community. Any time something goes wrong in my apartment, the maintenance man fixes it right up. My only complaint is there is very limited guest parking and most of it is taken by residents with extra vehicles. That makes it very difficult to have more

02/10/12 by anonymous: I lived at University Village for a year and a half, and LOVED it. The apartments are beautiful, and I never had a problem getting things fixed. I don't have a car either, so it was nice being so close to campus. I could literally walk to all of my classes. more

08/26/12 by FirePhoenix: I have been trying to get my deposit refund for months and its always different stories and excused and the same results; no refund. I payed on time and did not complain. Complaints of excessive noise from neighbors and drinking parties and dogs feces all over the place. The staff really has little control over the events and happenings. There are one or two that try to make a difference, but more

10/09/13 by kimberlynn: One of my closest friends and I lived in the Grove for 3 years. The first year (2010-2011) we were in a 2 bedroom, which is waaaaaay smaller than the showroom. If you are interested in a 2/2, make sure you see someone you know who loves in one. We bought an Ikea kitchen island for some extra counter space, which helped a lot. The apartment was not clean upon move in, however with more

08/04/13 by anonymous: The day I moved in, my apartment reeked off pee. I couldn't even stay there. They refused to come clean the carpets because I was bringing a dog into the apartment. Several things have broken and been halfway fixed. Air conditioner hardly works, my apartment is always hot no matter what. Even the air conditioning guy didn't know what to do. DON'T EVER LIVE HERE. I am already more

09/07/11 by anonymous: The only advantage is the proximity to campus. It is a poorly built building; you can hear your neighbors clearly and if you get an apartment facing the street you can hear every single diesel that drives by. They'll also screw you out of your deposit, so don't expect to see that money again. I scrubbed the apartment and they *still* charged me a $50 cleaning fee. There is an ant more

04/05/09 by anonymous: Lonestar is owned by Tarleton so you have the benefits of their maintenance workers. If anything breaks you submit a work order on-line and they are usually out the next day. The apartments aren't really clean. I don't even know if they clean them over the summer when students leave. The noise is sometimes a little annoying. You can hear your neighbors downstairs and next door. Of more

03/22/11 by anonymous: I have no complaints about my time at Oak Tree East. I loved the upgrades in my apartment, I dont think anywhere in this college town offers what I was offered here. No, theres not a pool or a fitness center, but the college has a huge workout center so no big deal. And I dont mind a pool not being here because that just means the drunks and loud people dont come over here to party! more
