My husband and I moved in here about 4 months ago and when we first got here, we thought ??wow!?? Not anymore. We love our apartments itself. The layout is wonderful and the kitchen is beautiful, but there are certain things that we figured ahh, no big deal. The floors are paper thin, as are the walls. This is one reason we miss our old place. We couldn??t hear a thing and neither could our neighbors! That wasn??t a huge deal to us and won??t be unless we get some unruly neighbors. The management was Gables and for those of you who have lived here for over 3 months or so, you know this. Not anymore. It??s GrayStar and since they??ve come into effect, it seems that things are going downhill FAST. Everyone complained about the office staff when it was the Gables, saying the girls were pretentious and snotty. I really liked those girls, I??d say the ones in there now are the rude ones. The office manager had me waiting 20 minutes just to ask her a question. The trash situation is beyond me. It??s disgusting and needs to be fixed. I??m sick of seeing a huge blue dumpster that sits in the street. We pay enough not have our property looking like it does right now. The gate is another story. Does anyone but me feel like this great little community is going to pot'

I moved here when this complex first opened and I too have seen a rapid deterioration of this property. The management is not tending to the basic problems here. And yes, I do agree that the girls that are here NOW seem to be a bit more unprofessional than the ones that were here with Gables. The ones with Gables may have been 'snotty', but they did a great job of keeping this property up to code. The girls now don't seem to have a clue about anything here. The equipment in the gym isn't working, including the sound system (I'm not sure HOW that happened--it seems as if someone simply RIPPED the CD apparatus from the wall!). Even the restrooms in the clubhouse smell of urine. It's really embarrassing to have guests here, especially in the clubhouse area. It simply doesn't seem well kept at all to me. It's an awful shame, and the management really needs to step up and do something. This is a marvelous property, and it seems as if it's all going to hell in a handbasket. I will be contacting Greystar about these issues in the near future. I hate to see such a great place go neglected.

I totally agree with all of you. I have lived at Alta Creek for over a year. When I first moved in it was great (except for the thin walls and loud neighbors). I love the apartment inside but since Greystar took over management, it has gone downhill rapidly. I can't even comment on the garbage situation because it is so repulsive and the gates never work so why have them. My lease is up in two months and frankly I can't wait to get out of there because it looks like I live in the "hood". Also, I am sure the $99 move-in special will attract less than desirable tenants. How can such a great new complex be so bad so soon?

Auntvivi,
You are so right. Both my husband and I are so sick of those damn gates we could scream! It's like you never know when one is going to work or when the arm might come smashing down on you, if it's even there that is! It's funny how we've only lived here for about six months and yet in the area of the complex we live in, we've been there the longest. I guess it's because people came to their senses. It's an embarassment to have guests come over because the trash is ALWAYS overflowing. It's sickening to be honest. Thank goodness we have quiet neighbors or else we would be hearing everything they did through those paper thin walls. My husband and I are debating on whether or not to sign again until we can get into a house, but to be honest, if things keep up, we don't want to.

For all of you that dislike Graystar, we have the same problem across the street. I live at the Enclave at Woodbridge and we too are owned by Graystar. I havent lived here but only 4 months or so and already I am ready to leave. It seems like every complaint I have goes right in one ear and out the other. I dont mind are gates getting broken things happen, but it seems like every other day the gate is broken and it STAYS BROKEN for like 2 weeks or longer. Also as an addition they cant keep maintenace staff here for any length of time. Since i have been here there hasnt been any trash bags outside to pick up after your animals and to make things worse the trashcans that are attached to them havent been emptied since I have been here.
