Well it has been a few months since I moved out of my apartment at the Landmark. And although I was only there for a short time (6 months), I had a very positive experience. I was supposed to move the weekend that Ike hit. The staff allowed me to push my move out date till the next week (due to my movers unable to get back to TX). I was hoping that they would take a little pity on my situation, but they still charged me! Other than that everything was successful. When I moved in, I paid the sure deposit price of about $88, which was non-refundable. Also during move-in I paid the $400 pet fee. Well, after about 2 weeks of having my dog, I realized that it would take some time for him to adjust to the new place. So he went back home to stay with my parents. I notified the office realizing that I probably wouldn't get my money back, but I wanted them to know this so that I could retain the $200 refundable fee!

When I finally recieved my reimbursement it was for about $70 less which isn't horrible I guess...however I left my apartment in PRISTINE condition! I had the carpets professionally steamed. During my short time there I didn't hang any pictures so the walls looked just as they did when I moved in. Not to mention, I'm a neat freak! I really wonder where the $70 went...but I digress!

Overall it was a positive experience, and I would definetly recommend the Landmark @ Sugar Land. (Just make sure you live on the top floor if you are sensitive to noise!)

I'm really surprised to read a lot of these reviews!

What thugs are you all refering too' I workout pretty much everyday and I only see the children of tennants that live in the complex use the basketball court. Not to mention, The Landmark is in the middle of nowhere and is surrounded by nice neighborhoods, where do you suppose these "thugs" are coming from'

I guess it's easier to refer to a person of color as a "thug" *rolling eyes*

Anyways, it's almost time for me to move out and so far I haven't had any major problems except for bugs! I came home one day to find ants all over my apartment! It was quite scary! I'm a neat freak and rarely cook, so I think it's probable that the cause was not due to the upkeep of my apartment. It took a couple of days for the office to send an exterminator. In the meantime, I purchased my own bug spray and killed the critters myself! Maybe a month after this happened there were 2 very large bugs in my apartment (still not sure what they were!).

I do wish that there were more machines in the gym, like maybe a stair master - but that's no cause to complain!!

The walls are super thin, and I can still hear my neighbors above me! :( Other than that I would say everything is going really well. I'm a little sad that I have to leave this property, but due to a job transfer, I have to move closer in to the city. My apartment is really spacious! It has been difficult finding another apartment with the square footage and price I'm looking for! Not to mention, I feel extremely safe at this property. My neighbors are friendly and curteous.

I have had a positive living experience thus far and will be back to update once I have finally moved. Hopefully there will be no problems!

Please don't let the choice of words used by other posters overshadow the message. The message is there are people in this complex who behave very badly. It makes for a horrible living situation. I have seen them and I don't like them. Not for the color of their skin but for their behavior.

I can totally seperate the ignorance from the overall message...HOWEVER, as I have said before this has not been my experience, nor the experience of any of my neighbors that I used to talk too. So for that reason and that reason alone, I disagree.
