Well, its a place to live

Parking is okay Sunday through Thursday, but over the weekend there is no where to park. If you complain to the management they point out that they sent out a flier stating guests had to park along a back wall. The thing is management does NOTHING to enforce this.

Also maintenance is stressful. I have a leak in my kitchen and every time I put in a service order someone comes and out and puts duct tape on the leak, when the water finally leaks through the duct tape and I place another order, maintenance just duct tapes it again. They tell you they offer emergency maintenance but if a flooding or clogged toilet (in a one bedroom/bathroom) or a broken A/C in the summer or heater in the winter doesn't qualify for emergency maintenance I'm not sure what does.

The management also has several "favorite" renters that keep tabs on everything you do. If you complain they say that they can't stop so and so from watching you/quizzing your guests. Which is true, but when this person comes to management to discuss everything you do then the professional thing to say would be, "I'm sorry, I don't like to hear gossip about my tenants" not take this information and use it against you.

Also I was charged double the deposit for both the security deposit and my pet. They said it was because of my lack of credit, but prior to moving in I had 5 positive housing reviews. I've also heard they are stingy about giving back deposits.

There are a few "quirks" too, like the doors don't line up in the bathroom. My kitchen floor is tilted a bit, several electrical plugs are upside down, and the handles on the water faucets turn the wrong way.

This isn't the worst place to live. You just have to mind your own business. Ignore anyone who seems interested in what you're doing. Time your maintenance requests, and know a handy man. Buy a snake for your toilet, and expect your A/C-heater to go out once each season change.

The price is good for the area, and the apartments are very large. Also its a nice complex with only one entrance and speed bumps, so there isn't much unnecessary traffic.
