Lakeview Apartments

i lived there a total of 7 or 8 yrs. from a young child to an adult with a child of my own. carol has always been the manager, and a sweet lady at that. they DO NO allow trash in there. they DO NOT allow people to loiter or solicit, and its nice that they do have on site officers living there. it can be a hassle to go swimming, because of how strict it is to get in the pool area, but in the long run, its worth it. the place has never made me feel unsafe. its been one of the best apt communities for years in texas city. only to have bigger, nicer, newer palces built around it. thats the only thing that would make Lakeview not sit on the top of the list anymore. i loved it there, and would tell anyone about the place. nice seperated floor plans, and roomy porches. theyre a great place to call home!

What about the drug trafficking and the assault and the burglary and now the MURDER????? Texas City teen dead after shooting 08:40 AM CDT on Monday, May 22, 2006 By Greg Barr / Galveston County Daily News Texas City teen dead after shooting 08:40 AM CDT on Monday, May 22, 2006 By Greg Barr / Galveston County Daily News TEXAS CITY -- Police are looking for the community's help to solve the weekend killing of a 13-year-old Texas City boy. Assistant District Attorney Bret Griffin said the victim, Elton Francis, was discovered between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday by a group of youths in a grassy area near the Fountain Lake Apartments at 9001 Glacier. The victim, a resident of the apartments, had been shot twice in the head. He was transported that afternoon to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and died Sunday. No witnesses to the shooting have been identified, but the investigation is continuing, according to Sgt. Brian Goetschius with the department's criminal investigation division. "If anyone has some information, we would like to interview them," Goetschius said Sunday. "We aren't really sure of the circumstances yet. We're just putting the pieces of the puzzle together." Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Texas City police at (409) 683-5760. This story is available through KHOU, Ch. 11's partnership with The Galveston County Daily News. |
