I lived in this complex for a year and a half. I found it to be disappointing. First, the road noise is horrible. Add to that the typical apartment noise from neighbors and the situation becomes unbearable. Second, the office staff run hot and cold. Sometimes they were very helpful and friendly. Other times they were rude and even confrontational. This is particularly true of the new office staff. Tabitha was consistently polite, helpful and friendly. The new management company seems to be implementing a lot of the things I would expect in this type of complex, but are doing so in the wrong way. For those people that were living in the complex prior to their arrival, many of the changes caught us unaware. A simple notice would have been helpful - perhaps by one of those notes slipped in the door (they seem very fond of those). For the amount of rent being collected there are services that should be included. For one, valet trash service. At the very least there should be additional dumpsters as they are often full. For another better and more routine pest control. Additionally, the bathroom and kitchen fixtures are cheap and poorly made. They should be upgraded. The grounds are generally well kept. However, the grounds crews should be better about cleaning up the lawn clippings and not blowing them into stairwells etc. I find it odd that one of the first actions of the new company was to change the landscaping. Quite frankly, this cosmetic change did little to improve the overall image of the complex. It actually removed nice tropical, zone appropriate vegitation with blooming flowers that will be dug up and replaced seasonally. The car care area is a nice convenience. The garages and covered parking are ridiculous. They are poorly placed and planned and too expensive. The gates were a constant nuisance due largely to residents and guest ramming them. The new managment however has been MUCH more diligent about responding to these problems and correcting them.
I hope the new management team is able to correct the problems they are having and continue to improve the property. This is a property of great potential. However, as it stands now, I believe it is over priced for the amenities and services it does and does not offer.
