I went to move in today, only to learn when I got to the leasing office that they had leased the apartment to someone else. They did work with me to find another unit, but ... needless to say I was dissappointed that I was not getting the unit I had been looking forward to moving into.

When I asked what happened, I got the run-around ... no one wanted to take the blame for this situation. One of leasing agents tried to tell me that there was an initial problem with my application and he had shredded my deposit check ... and that since I did not bring in a new check, my application was cancelled. When I got home tonight, I checked my bank records, and found that they had actually deposited this check into their bank.

Moving can be an emotional time, and when this sort of thing happened to me today, ... well ... needless to say I was upset.

I will be moving in tomorrow. I will give an update on my experience at Austin Ranch in a few months.

DON'T MOVE IN!!! RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THEM IT ONLY GETS WORSE!!!

I am totally NOT surprised to hear that!! We got the run-around from the office staff before we were moving in. We were promised new carpet by the leasing agent and the maintenance supervisor...this was the thing that really sold us. Well, by the time we were ready to move in, she had left and apparently no one knew about the carpet situation. It took a lot of calling and complaining, but they ended up replacing it. They have too many people in that office... and they all have different stories and answers!!
