I don't recommend this property to anyone but teenage partiers!

I have lived here 8 months and I can't wait until my lease is up so I can move.

My biggest complaint is the shoddy construction. The walls and floors are so thin that I can hear my neighbors talking, walking around, fighting. In fact, I've heard two domestic disturbances and had to call police. It's hard for me to rest peacefully with all of the noise. Also, all of my windows leak when it rains, my back door and bathroom door won't shut properly and my sink broke.

The amenities sounds nice, but they are always packed with young partiers. There is only one hot tub and it has a 4 person limit. The water is way too hot. The restrooms at the lodges are always out of toiletpaper, hand soap and papertowels on the weekends when people are using the facilities the most.

The rules state that no indoor furniture should be placed on patios (because it looks tacky), but my neighboor had a futon on their patio and they didn't remove it until they moved out. There was also an inoperable vehicle parked outside of my apartment for at least 7 months that they didn't remove until I had complained 4 times over a 4 month time period. This also goes against their rules.

I'm so disappointed in Austin Ranch. I was so excited when I moved here thinking that it would be a nice, well-built, quiet community with strict rules to keep up the appearance. I was told by the staff that they are very strict on who they allow to live here (no criminal records, etc...). I hardly think this is true.

I thought that I would encounter a lot of classy people here, but that's not what I'm seeing.

Your experience echos mine. I was right down Saintsbury from you and it was our worst experience at an apt complex ever. You are spot on about the construction, and there is NO WAY that they perform the strict checks for incoming residents that they say they do. The managers we spoke with constantly lied and the bimbos that greet you in the office were as dumb as a rock.

I lived there for 5 years and after hitting my 30s I had to move. I cherished my sleep and got sick of my car getting hit my drunks. I still go to Gecko often but I have to admit it is nice to come home to my quiet apartment.
