I lived at EMS for a year and didn't renew, mostly because of the drive, living in The Colony prior to the opening of 121 toll road was a mess!!!!!!
After moving, I realized, they are decently priced... My biggest complaint was that I lived on the 3rd floor and there were some kind of rats or animals in the attic. I called several times and the noise never stopped. I had rude neighbors below me who would bang on the celing if my daughter even hopped a little of excitement, YET their oversized dog could bark all morning!! I could hear people in the breezeway ALL of the time, insulation is not great, I'm sure my neighbors could hear me as I did them if their voices increased a tad bit in volume... Management takes their time to get things done.. OH the week before I moved out, there were flyers on the doors reporting several thefts in the complex, mostly car mufflers. Parking for me was not bad, as I paid the cheap price to have a covered spot, if you want a garage, good luck, some buildings don't even have them close. If I had people over, they either needed to get there early in the afternoon/morning or be willing to walk because there are not enough of spots. People parked in my spot more than once, the first time management told me they usually dont tow, I should just leave a note on the windshield... WELL thats great, take my parking that I pay for, you'll not get towed and I get to walk.. From that point forward, I parked in other people's spot if mine was ever taken... :) The gate sometimes were left open, but for the most part they were closed. Oh and the washer/dryer are included in the rent price, which is a good thing... I got what I paid for, I was never really home... The only thing I will miss is paying WAY less rent that I have to now.
