Don't rent here!- LONG!

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
My family and I rented at the Bridgewater for almost one and a half years. In our time there we encounter a large number of problems. It started from day one! We were rented the wrong apartment and the management tried to push back our move in date because of their mistake. When we finally moved in all of the electrical outlets were loose. They wouldn't even hold in the child protective plug covers. And with a small child this was a huge problem. It would take me 30 minutes to vacuum our small living room because the plug would continuously fall out. We also had numerous water leaks. There was always trash in the parking lot and I even received a cut from a piece of glass from the parking lot getting stuck in my shoes. After a month of being at the apartment we finally decided to get cable. The Bridgewater management wouldn't let us run new lines that was necessary for the cable to work properly. They said it was a code violation and if the inspectors came out then they would be fined. I then pointed out 10 of my neighbors who had new lines running to their apartments. When I asked about satellite they informed me that the dish had to be freestanding and our renters insurance had to be for $100,000!
One night I heard running water in our apartment and went to the bathroom to find water coming down the walls from the ceiling. I called maintenance out (which took 45 minutes for them to arrive) and went upstairs to ask if our neighbors had a toilet over flowing. They told me no but they had just taken a shower. When maintenance arrived they informed me that it was our upstairs neighbors behind them who had a leaking toilet. They told me that they would be back in the morning and there was nothing they could do about it that night. After waiting until 1 the next day I left the apartment. When you sign a lease you also sign a form giving permission for management or maintenance to go in you apartment if there is a leak. When I came home that night the ceiling had fallen in my bathroom. Resulting in debris and water everywhere. There was even an old scrunchy in the bathtub. Water had crept outside of the bathroom and had soaked the carpet outside of the bathroom. I again had to call maintenance. This time they told me that it was our upstairs neighbors that caused the leak. Their drain had rusted through in the bathtub. But because the night before maintenance had cleared them they continued to use the shower. That night maintenance cleared the debris and screwed some signs used for advertising the complex into the ceiling. The next morning I went up to the office demanding a new unit. They told me that they wouldn't do that and that they would let us move our things into a vacant apartment while they fixed our bathroom. When I refused to do this they told me it wasn't their fault that this happened!!! How can you have rental properties but not be responsible for it falling apart''!'!' I told them that the wall behind the toilet was soggy and would have to be replaced. Management told me that they wouldn't do that and that it would just dry. Isn't that how BLACK MOLD is created. They told me to just leave on my AC or heat on all the time! I refused to move back into that apartment and finally they agreed to rent me a new one. But, they didn't have any of the floor plan available so they would have to rent me one that was bigger and more expensive. They didn't compensate me for the new and more expensive apartment. My rent increased by $100.
They moved us over by the pool where it was always noisy. One night I was walking up to my apartment and noticed a young boy by the pool smoking weed. The new apartment had 1 AC vent for 3 rooms!!! And the thermostat was by the laundry closet and when the dryer was going it caused the thermostat to act up. Our electric bill was ALWAY sky high!
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! There is an ever changing staff in the management office and it is impossible to get ANYTHING done.
