Where Do I Begin'

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
We moved to Lakewood from a 2000 sq ft house. Our power bill tripled. Somehow the AC that ran all the time never managed to cool the apartment. The management saw no problem with this or the $600 power bills. Things were stolen from my car. Someone tried to break into my boyfriend's truck. There was one person who died of a drug overdose while I lived there. People are constantly catching things on fire. The woman who lived in my apt. before I moved in had about 50 cats in her 1000 sq ft apt.... The place always smelled like cat; from the day we moved in. People brought their car in, took the best parking spots and never moved them. We heard our neighbors every day. It didn't matter if they were just walking around upstairs, we heard everything. The walls must be paper thin. One day, our upstairs malfunctioned sending water through the floor to the kitchen and living room. Three days later, they replaced the part of the toilet that was broken... Our ceilings were never repaired from the water damage. The only good thing I can think of to say about this place is that it's close to 249. I never felt safe there, management never responds to service requests, parking is marginal, and there's a serious problem with the electrical system. That being said... Don't live there unless you really don't expect much at all.
