Not the greatest.

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
I've lived here since July. It has its perks and its downfalls. It definitely wasn't my first choice of apartments, but it was the only one available in the time that I needed it. I'll start with the (few) good things:
The apartment is spacious, for the money. The closets are nice and big. The kitchen could be a little bigger, but there's enough room to move around.
And the bad things...
The management leaves something to be desired. They were really nice when I was working on signing a lease with them, but once I signed the lease and sold my soul to them for a year, they kind of gave me the brush-off. My prorated rent wasn't calculated correctly and they made me pay the difference, as if it was my fault that their system was incorrect. That's not my problem. I argued about it, but ended up paying it. I was none too happy, though. It's like they're always trying to squeeze more money out of you.
My next door neighbors are relatively quiet, I don't usually hear them or their dog. The upstairs neighbors are a different story. They like to blast loud music, as do a lot of people who drive through the parking lot. I hate living downstairs from such trashy, tactless people. I've had a lot of noise issues during my stay here, whether it's with loud music or with people yelling and talking loudly in the parking lot at crazy hours of the night. Call me nitpicky, but 2 or 3 in the morning, I'd like to stay sound asleep... as opposed to being rudely awakened by someone yelling or blasting Ludacris, ok' This isn't necessarily a problem with the apartment itself... more a problem with the surrounding tenants and their guests.
The shower will beat you to death. The water pressure is extremely hard. I come out with red marks every day from the water. I guess too hard is better than too light, though. I haven't had a problem with hot water in the bathroom, but the sink in the kitchen yields lukewarm water unless you let it run for about five minutes.
It's ok for short term, if you can't get anything else, but don't sign that year lease... the ten dollars off per month is NOT worth it. If you're looking for something temporary or mediocre, this is your place. If you're seeking long-term shelter and a good place to live, I'd definitely recommend considering paying a little more for a better place. I cannot wait until my lease is up.
