Absolutely rude man-hating office staff

After begging and pleading with the office to let me keep my dog (he's over the weight limit but he's very calm and non-destructive) I smuggled him anyways because I did not have anywhere else to keep him (I just moved from out of town, no apartment complexes had any openings).
When they discovered him they told me I had to get rid of him or they would call animal control. They refused to negotiate any kind of deposit or fees only because he weighed more than 25 lbs - "If you can bring a scale down here to the office and show me that he weighs less than 25 pounds then we'll talk. Otherwise, get rid of him."
So I was forced to put my dog of four years up for adoption.
As if that's not hard enough to do, I went to pay my water bill and the office manager has the nerve to say, "Did you get rid of your dog'" I said yes, and she glared at me and said, "ARE YOU SURE''" just to add insult to injury.
I have never experienced such insensitivity and unwillingness to work with the tenants, especially after having to give up my dog for these people. Quail Creek Apartments should be named Shrew Creek Apartments.

Oh please! Man hating are they lesbians? You know you can't have a dog and you get one anyway? Do you have neighbors? Do they like you? I have never had a cross word from the office staff. I have gotten a note put on my door for not paying my water bill and the lady across from me is a bit loud but besides that I like it here. They don't seem to hate me so I think it might be you man not just men. Get a life dude.

I know nobody probably will read this but I suppose kdaley did not read that this person had this dog for 4 years. He didn't get the dog anyway just to spite the management. READ.

Either way, this person moved into the complex, knowing that they do not accept animals over 25 lbs. Now, I understand that he supposedly did not have a choice as to what complex he could live in, but that doesn't mean the staff has to make an exception. After reading this post, I've pretty much disregarded this person's opinion, because it's based on the managments unwillingness to break rules. I'm sorry to hear you had to put your dog up for adoption, but I can bet there was some other place you could look at (for example some duplex in the area)
