I have been here at Southwest Pines since they first opened. Over the last 3 years I have noticed lots of things. First this complex was one of the only ones to step up and help the Kitrina victims from La. So I will admit during that time I did notice that the noise level increased. But it was worth it to me to see these people get help.

Then I will admit that the previous staff were not so good to deal with. However, the whole staff changed about 8 months ago. And the people we have now are great. They really care.

I read the other reviews. Let me also say this about the one that says they would not rent to you cause you were white. There are white people that live here. The thing is that this complex is a special complex that has income restrictions. So if you do not fall in those required amounts, then they have to turn you away.

I am a simgle woman. I know that the security guys are a phone call away, and if I need anything I can call the office and they will help me. I have no desire to move. And as far as the people on here talking bad about the complex, not any of them live here. Pretty easy to pass judgement I guess with driving through once or twice.
