This places prices is almost as ridiculous as the staff that works there. They raised the prices on that horrible complex again. over $700 for a 550 square foot apartment. How ridiculous is that. Most people don't realize that it is that expensive until after they move in. They just see $345 a month, but what they don't realize is that is $345 per person in a two bedroom apartment. Seems a little tricky doesn't it' The staff doesn?t care because none of them have to pay rent. Anyone that wants to live here has to be out of their mind because not only are they the most expensive apartments per square foot in the city of Tyler, they can?t even guarantee you a parking space near your apartment because whoever built that hell hole didn?t make enough parking spaces for all the students that they can house. How smart was that'



Another thing is the staff. Most of the RA?s were cool, but the management sucked! They played favorites. If they didn?t like you, then they would decide not to renew you. Their reason' "We reserve the right to refuse renewal to anyone!" Talk about discrimination. I know someone that because he got into trouble like two times, they didn?t renew him. God knows why he wanted to stay there in the first place but thats beside the point. I have spoken with their manager numerous times and she is totally two faced. She will be nice to your face when you are there, but after she leaves it is straight into the accountants office or out in the Resident Directors office to bad mouth you, just because you gave her your opinion and it wasn?t something she wanted to hear. How do I know that' Because I heard her one time. After I left, I remembered I forgot something so I go back to grab it off the desk in the clubhouse and I hear her just a griping about how she disagreed totally with what I said and how she didn't know who I thought I was. She thought I was just stupid to have come in there and ask her such things. Rude! On top of that, University Pines is student housing for The University of Texas at Tyler and the manager of the whole complex, SHE DOESN?T EVEN HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE!!!! How stupid is that for a non college graduate to be running a college dorm'



On top of all that, the police department is out to get you. They look at everyone as if they are a suspect. During the year, you can?t turn around without seeing one of the cops behind you. Some might call that safe, where sometimes it does seem like that, but most times, they are just trying to see if you have been doing something wrong. We are in college now. We are big kids, we can manage things on our own. If we are doing something wrong, more than likely you will find us without having to look for us, so stop harassing students and deal with some of the bigger issues that go on at that complex. GEEEZ!



Overall, DON?T LIVE HERE!!! TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!
