Patriot Village is much more worth it!

If you are going to liv on campus, hear me out for just a second. Patriot Village just opened up this year and the places they have over there are so much larger and spacious. The apartments themselves cost 500 dollars, but that cost includes everything you can think of, except food. Electricity, water, television cable, internet...everything is 500. Not to mention if get someone to report that you talked them into going there, you get one month rent for free.
University Pines is the biggest scam in Tyler. These guys suck. The staff is rude, of course not all of them, but the guys are all pricks. The only thing that they are good at is respinding quick to a work order. However, you have to listen to them complain about fixing whatever is broken, while they fix it. Rent for a two bed one bath is 382 dollars. Plus Electricity, plus tv cable, plus internet. Well over 500 dollars. Parking is horrendous here as well. I parked in a handicap spot becuase there was no where else to park, and got smashed with a 300 dollar fine, by the super cops that UT TYler has themselves. You think that when you are paying 382 dollars a month per person at an apartment (764 together with your roomate) that they will be fairly large. WRONG! The living room is seriously a cubicle. The bedrooms are so tiny it is pitiful. The bathroom is one of the biggest rooms in the house. I have only been here for 2 months and my refrigerator has broken. My closet door came off the henges, our AC had to be fixed, and the toilet runs nonstop. Patriot Village's rooms are massive compared to the holes here. That is about all I have to say. I read somwhere that University Pines is for rich dumb kids, I was reading a correct statement. Oh, and the worst thing of all, is do not even think of coming to U Pines without a roomate already in mind. If you are a party guy that likes to drink a little and hang out with the girls...in the thought of Jimmy Fallon, " I got a --- orchestra major guy that has a rock collection." Seriously though, do not come to U Pines. I have only been here two months, and it is miserable. If you have a room on the bottom, the construction is so bad, all the person above has to do is tip toe and it sounds like they are stomping. So if you do decide to go ahead and livein this hell hole anyway, get a top apartment.
