Run Don't Walk Away!

The fact that the apartments are only a short walk to campus is not worth the hassle of living at the UPines. Four points summarizes on why you should find other living arrangements:
1)The Cost-- the fact that you pay on average $1 for every 2 squ. feet is sufficient evidence that this place is a rip off. I have one question-- where does the money go to' It certainly doesn't go to the cheap "events" they fail to pull off every month. My friends in College Station and Dallas pay what I pay for 2-3 times the space.
2) The Gestapo-- I mean the police department. Its nice to have an agency only a block away dedicated to screwing up the students' lives. In my time here, I have yet to drink, party, or commit any misdemeanor, and I have been harassed by these wonderful agents of the "law" three times.
3) The Parking-- I know this is a common complaint everywhere. But when you have a certain amount of occupants, shouldn't there be an equal amount of parking spaces' There isn't.
4) The Security-- there isn't any. I need not mention the Gest... police department again; but the gate system is a joke. They're motion sensitive, so anyone who waits long enough can get in. This is not to mention the fact that for two years running, the gates have been ineffective for at least three weeks in the Fall semester. No refund was forthcoming however, for the lack of security.
If this isn't convincing, just go look at other complexes nearby. The size difference is astronomical. It's just not worth the hassle during your college years.
