I would never ever step foot back on to this property!! I seriously do not reccommend living here. The rent goes up a lot each year, too. This fall it will be $419 for half of a 2BR. There is nothing but bad memories here for me. My experience at University Pines was horrific. When I first moved in, I thought it was going to be great, because it was so close to campus and I thought it would be safe. I was so wrong. It was basically hell. The roommate that I was "matched with" did drugs.. it was horrible. The experience pretty much ruined my freshmen year. I couldn't sleep at night because of my roommate. I never wanted to go to my apartment and avoided it at all costs. I asked my boss for more hours so I didn't have to go home and face my roommate. The office staff basically was not concerned that she was doing drugs in the place. My time here was so frustrating! Not to mention, I was taking a full class load (16 hours!!!!)!! I can't believe I had to deal with all that! I believe most of the problem was that I did not know my roommate before I moved in with her. That was a mistake. Also, my apartment had bugs. I sprayed all the time and even used a fumigator. I never asked for anything to be fixed because I did not want to deal with the office staff. The water went out on several occassions so that was an inconvience. Most everyone that I encountered drank or did drugs at the apartments. Also, I barely got any of my deposit back and I spent a whole day cleaning the place out!!! I just moved out of UPines and found an awesome apartment that is a way better deal! This next year you are required to buy a meal plan even though your apartment has a kitchen. Now that is ridiculous! My life is way less complicated now. DRUG FREE for sure.
