You can do better

I live her now and it is a good roof over your head. I live in a two bedroom and the rent is individual leases so my share is $502 a month which includes partial electricity (which you will go over every time) and all of water. The furnisture that comes with the apartment is nasty, although some apartments did get new couches and chairs, i was lucky enough to get stuck with old blue smelly couches and chairs. the twin size bed you get, is a joke...so don't forget to pack your egg carton cushion! some apartments just got new carpet and "hardwood/linolium floor"...and the apartments that didn't get new floors, got the new couches and chairs....

the events at the apartment complex really aren't cool at all. They have ceramics night every tuesday, who likes ceramics though' the school puts on a flag football team between the other apartment complex and the doorms here. I hear that can be fun. Every building has an R.A. and the R.A. comes into you apartment to do a "health and safety check". they let you know when these checks are so you can hide all the things you need to since you can't have alcohol in the apartment complex even if you are 21. The kitchen works well, the apartment is a good size. closets are sliding doors. there is no crwon molding between the floors and walls so that looks bad and the bugs get in easier...bugs are not too bad but thye do make their way in.

parking- there is guest parking that is in the very back of the complex that is not convient for anyone's apartment. If you have a friend come over for even 3 minuets expect to see a parking warning/ticket under their windshield wipers...there is no fine but the 3rd time they get towed. but parking is usually really good after the first 2 weeks of school when guests realize they can't park anywhere. no animals allowed and none can visit, even if they are visiting you get a $100 fine.

All in all these apartments are OKAY...they are not worth the money and the dorms here at UT TYLER are only 2 years old and really nice, all separete bedrooms, and then patriot village is the other apartment complex for freshman, and those are nice and worth the extra money!

hope this helps!
