Steeplechase is now called Emerald Ridge, with a huge sign at the front proclaiming it as "The Jewel of Tyler." Don't make me choke on my iced tea! This apartment complex is awful; if you have a choice to live here in in a cardboard box, live in the box. I have tried for months to get my refrigerator switched (due to the roach/insect eggs crusted on the insides and seams, which I can't clean out). The eggs fall out on a daily basis. I have to keep everything sealed in the fridge, and I pray that black speck in my food is pepper, and not an egg! It is absolutely disgusting - I eat out most of the time. The closet rod broke one day - rather than wait one day like the front office told me I would have to do, I went and purchased the stuff to fix it myself. I also witnessed my neighbor out on the balcony one night smoking marijuana, like nothing was wrong. I have seen several drug deals going on in the parking lot. There have been shootings and domestic disturbances. Also, a dead fetus was found in one of the dumpsters earlier this year. As soon as my lease is up, I am getting the hell out!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!
