We had decided to move in to this apartment oomplex and gave them $150.00 to hold the apartment for 30 days. The apaprtment was still being lived in and would not be available until Oct 25,2009. 5 days later I learned that I must move out of state to care for my elderly father who was going to have major surgery. I explained EVEYTHING to the manager who refused to give me back any of the money regardless of the fact the apartment was still being lived in and she only held it for me for 5 days. We had also paid $45.00 application fee which I did not want back. I wanted themt be paid for the application processing that they had done, but they did nothing to earn the $150.00 apartment holding fee. I will never consider living there again now that I know they find ways to cheat you out of money.

Just so you know the reason why they don't give you your money back is because they held that unit just for you. Even though it was 5 days they still held it just for you... when they could've given it to someone else that may have been looking. The application fee that you paid does not go into their pocket, it goes to the background checks and credit checks they have to pull on you in order to approve you to live there. That stuff doesn't come free. And no I don't work here I'm just an experienced leasing agent who puts up with people like you that complain about putting money down and then trying to get it back when we've had to turn away other people and tell them no I'm sorry we don't have that unit available...we are full. So stop complaining, it is like this at every complex. If you don't like it buy a house.
